UNICEF

Tap Project

The UNICEF Tap Project launched in 2007 with a simple thought: what if restaurants gave patrons the option to pay $1 for the glass of drinking water they would usually get for free.

And in its fifth year we wanted to show people that even this seemingly insignificant act – ordering a glass of water – could have a huge impact. That with just one, little glass of water you could help 40 kids on the other side of the planet.

In just one week, we raised more than $750,000 for kids in need. That’s 30 million glasses of clean drinking water, one glass at a time.

A Little History

For context, here’s where it all started — the original version of the UNICEF Tap Project.
